Andrew Buchanan Elementary | Chambersburg, PA

We really enjoyed the performances by Bright Star. I have had comments from teachers as well as students and they are all positive. I got to watch both shows. The younger kids laughed and laughed. There was so much audience participation, which is awesome to keep the younger kids involved. The other show definitely had a different tone, but the kids were very attentive and involved. My son told his dad and sister all about it at dinner that night. Thank you for providing great theatre shows for kids. We look forward to next year.

Marshall Primary | Marshall, SC

Our children really enjoyed the performance last week! The actors were fantastic. Thank you all for another successful program. We look forward to next year as we start looking to book another program.

Pineville Elementary | Pineville, NC

I wanted to take a moment to thank you for the wonderful performance that you provided today at Pineville Elementary. Your team definitely made a great hiring choice in the actors for this tour! They were wonderful to work with and really engaged our students. I am getting great feedback from students and staff. The show was such a thoughtful and thought-provoking production! Thanks for bringing these stories and legendary figures to life and making them so memorable for our students. Your hard work makes a difference!

The Hillside School | Macungie, PA

Our entire experience with Bright Star Theatre was positive, from the booking process to the presentations and the actors. They were truly amazing performers. From the very first moment our students entered the room until the final questions, they captured our students’ attention. They connected with the audience in ways I have generally not seen in assembly programs. Their talent, professionalism, and ability to connect with their audience is truly commendable!

Joyner Elementary Magnet School | Raleigh, NC

So impressed! An incredibly written show and great actors. I don’t think I really knew what to expect, but the kids were approaching the actors after the show to tell them how great they were and how much they learned. It touched on so much in such an entertaining way. I am sure the kids will not forget it!

First Creek Middle School | Tacoma, WA

I was thoroughly impressed with your ability to bring history to life. I thought the play was just beautiful.

Manager of Youth & Family Programs, Bruce Museum | Greenwich, CT

The performances ran very smoothly and we had a packed house for both of them. The performers were great and the audience loved them! I had several visitors comment on the quality of the show. Thank you so much for your organization and help in getting this family day put together. I hope to be in touch in the future!

Frederick Douglass National Historic Site | Washington, D.C.

We had a great time with the show and the actors were wonderful. Big picture of the history was great. Loved the message, loved how it was delivered.

Centennial Campus Middle School | Raleigh, NC

We had Bright Star perform for our eighth graders. Teachers described the performance as ‘phenomenal’ and said ‘we loved it.’ The fact that this program did not talk down to students in any way made it effective and empowering for our students. When Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. started giving the “I have a dream” speech, you could hear a pin drop: a testament to how powerful the performance was. As a Cultural Arts representative for our school, it is hard to choose middle school age appropriate programs that fit within our limited budget. This was the perfect program for this age group that truly gives you a bang for your buck.

Dallas Theater and Civic Center | Dallas, GA

All of the shows were fantastic and loved by all! The actors were a joy to work with and we so enjoyed having them for a few days. Thanks again and we will be in touch about next year!

Principal, Orchard View Elementary | Grand Rapids, MI

In 25 years as a principal, your programs rate as one of the highest quality assemblies I have ever witnessed!

Superintendent, George Washington Carver National Monument | Diamond, MO

The Bright Star Touring Theatre performed George Washington Carver & Friends to two packed audiences for the 71st Carver Day celebration at the George Washington Carver National Monument. The play was energetic, highly engaging and quite educational. The actors did a wonderful job of interacting with the kids, who clearly learned much while having big fun! Thank you Bright Star for your contributions to our annual event!

Calhoun Elementary | Calhoun, TN

I wanted to touch base and tell you how much the students and staff at Calhoun School enjoyed the performances. The actors were excellent, wonderful to work with and a joy to watch performing on stage. They had great chemistry and displayed a good mix of humor and drama. I believe our teachers enjoyed their performance as much as our students!

Principal, Bellmawr Park School | Bellmawr, NJ

What an outstanding performance! The actors were hysterical! My cheeks hurt from smiling so much. The message contained in the show was exactly what we were hoping for. The story presented the bullying situation in a way that was understandable even for the Kindergarten students. The actors involved the students in the situation asking them to help solve the problem, which they did very well. The students took away so many values including acceptance, friendship, helping others and how to be a hero. I was extremely impressed and would highly recommend this show to other schools.
